Tottenham fans will be unimpressed as Johnson footage emerges from Hong Kong
Tottenham have travelled to Hong Kong ahead of their pre-season clash with Arsenal on Thursday.
The stage is set for a North London derby to take place at the Kai Tak stadium in Hong Kong (29 July), as part of Spurs’ pre-season tour in Asia.
It will be Tottenham’s biggest test so far in pre-season as Thomas Frank continues to instil his philosophy on his squad and work on getting his players match fit.
However, preparations have not gone smoothly so far this summer, and the fans will not be too pleased with the latest footage to emerge from the training camp.

Brennan Johnson among those to miss penalties in training
Tottenham organised an open training session on Tuesday (29 July) at the Kai Tak stadium, where the squad ran through a series of drills before playing a match among themselves, which ended in a draw.
A penalty shootout ensued, in which Brennan Johnson, James Maddison, and Pedro Porro all missed before Cristian Romero finally scored the fourth spot kick.
This will be a red flag for Tottenham fans, who could be facing a competitive penalty shootout in the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain in just over two weeks.
Dominic Solanke was Spurs’ regular penalty taker last season, and did not feature in the training game as he is still recovering from a minor ankle injury.
Frank still has a host of decisions to make ahead of the new campaign, including who will be assigned the task of shooting from 12 yards.
On Tuesday’s showing, Solanke is likely to remain the first-choice, having only missed twice from the spot in his senior career, while scoring all three he has taken for Tottenham.
Spurs still showing signs of struggle in attack
Frank was very clear that his first port of call in N17 was to shore up the defence and improve on set pieces, as this was Tottenham’s primary weakness last season.
The Dane alluded to the fact that Spurs had plenty of attacking talent in the squad, and that this was less of an area of concern.
However, Spurs managed just one shot on target in their goalless draw against Luton Town last Saturday (26 July), struggling to convert possession into tangible chances.
Neither team managed to break the deadlock in their open training session either, which is quickly becoming a concern, which may lead Frank to target a striker this summer.
