Tottenham could sign £50m ace and two others after Eberechi Eze blow
Tottenham received a major blow in their transfer plans on Wednesday.
Spurs had been tracking Eberechi Eze throughout the transfer window and looked set to win the race for the attacking midfielder.
However, Arsenal have now entered the race for Eze in a shock twist which could see Tottenham miss out on the Crystal Palace star.
As a result, alternatives may need to be looked at, which could prove to be tricky so late in the window.
Nevertheless, Tottenham Hotspur News has identified three potential signings Spurs could now make instead of Eze.

Harvey Elliott
Harvey Elliott may be one of Tottenham’s best options going into the final days of the window.
The Liverpool star is searching for more first-team football after winning the Under 21s European Championship in the summer.
Tottenham have been linked to Elliott already this window, and now this interest could be reignited.
RB Leipzig are the frontrunners for Elliott with Liverpool demanding £50million for the attacking midfielder.
However, given the German side’s lack of European football, Spurs may be able to hijack the deal.

Ademola Lookman
Elsewhere in Europe, Ademola Lookman has made quite a name for himself since he left England in 2022.
Currently at Atalanta, the 27-year-old scored a sensational hat-trick in the Europa League final in 2024 to win the trophy for the Italian side.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Lookman already, and the 27-year-old could be a perfect alternative to Eze.
- Lookman came through Charlton Athletic’s academy
- The attacker had a breif spell at RB Leipzig in Germany
- In 2022, Lookman moved to Atalanta
The Nigerian international is an experienced player in both Europe and the Premier League and has stepped up when needed on the biggest stages.
On top of this, Lookman reportedly wants to leave Atalanta this summer, which could present a perfect opportunity for Spurs to get the deal done.

Rafael Leao
Given the backlash Daniel Levy has faced for the Eze failure, a top signing may be the only way to win back trust at the London club.
Rafael Leao would no doubt be that top signing, with the AC Milan star proving to be one of the best stars in the Serie A.
Again, Tottenham have been linked with Leao, with a £87.3m bid said to be readied.
However, reports have since gone quiet for the Portuguese international.
Nevertheless, given Leao’s ability to play in multiple positions across the front line, he would be a magnificent buy.
