Timo Werner ‘now finished’ at Tottenham after new transfer development
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will be looking at new signings with a matter of urgency in the final days of the winter transfer window.
The Lilywhites have had a poor season and currently find themselves sitting 15th in the Premier League, without a win in seven league games.
The North London outfit’s poor form has led to plenty of speculation over the manager’s future although with injuries plaguing the squad, it has given the boss some relief of the pressure.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that signings are needed at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the transfer window if Spurs are going to have a brighter second half of the season.
Tottenham interest could spell the end for Timo Werner
With reinforcements needed, the news of links to Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich will be welcome news for many at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 19-year-old has informed his current club of his desire to leave [Sky Sports, 30 January] with Spurs one of the Premier League sides interested in gaining his services.
One man who may not be pleased about this news though is Timo Werner, who has had a poor campaign on loan in North London.

Although the forward has made 26 appearances in all competitions, he only has one goal to show for it in the Carabao Cup which highlights how poor his form has been.
With this in mind, if the signing of Tel can be completed by Spurs, that would surely mean the 28-year-old is finished at Tottenham.
The Australian boss needs to ensure he is looking forward and giving his side the best opportunity to progress under his management which is clearly only going to come from new arrivals with the existing players not performing up to the required levels so far.
In other Tottenham news, the Australian may hand out a shock start in the Europa League clash against Elfsborg.
