Thomas Frank ‘to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham’ after Johan Lange talks
Ange Postecoglou will be looking over his shoulder at Tottenham, and it seems as though Thomas Frank is gaining ground on the Australian.
Postecoglou’s days in North London appear to be numbered.
Daniel Levy is thought to be 99 per cent likely to sack Postecoglou, which means the Spurs chairman could soon be on the hunt for a new manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino has been pictured with Levy amid speculation over a potential return to Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Fulham boss Marco Silva is thought to be open to accepting an offer from Spurs, while Andoni Iraola is also in the mix.
However, of all these options, it looks as though Brentford manager Frank might be the most likely appointment after a recent Johan Lange reveal.

Lange holds talks with Frank
As reported by The Athletic on Thursday (27 March), Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham is in “serious” doubt.
Spurs have identified Bournemouth’s Iraola as their preferred target to replace Postecoglou should the 59-year-old be sacked before next season, while Silva and Frank are also under consideration.
There is no guarantee that Tottenham will be able to convince Iraola to make the move from Bournemouth, especially as there is reportedly a £10million release clause in his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Premier League 2024/25 | Position | Points |
Bournemouth | 10th | 44 |
Tottenham | 14th | 34 |
Therefore, that would see the North London club move on to Silva and Frank, and although the former is reported to be the second choice behind Iraola, a move for the latter might be more feasible.
This is because during his time at Aston Villa, Lange held talks with Frank, and the Dane could, therefore, use that connection to make a quick appointment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Levy to have the final say at Tottenham
Lange will no doubt be influential in any potential manager hunt, provided he, too, isn’t sacked by Levy.
Therefore, if he already has connections to Frank, he could push for his appointment, which could lead to the Brentford boss making the move across London.
However, ultimately, it will be Levy who has the final say.
