Thomas Frank avoided £36m mistake with Destiny Udogie at Tottenham
Tottenham were active in the summer transfer window as they signed players who suited new manager Thomas Frank.
Frank has made a good start at Tottenham, with Mohammed Kudus at the heart of the positivity.
Xavi Simons has split opinion since joining Spurs, as Frank will begin to assess his squad for the January transfer window.
The Lewis family are set to stay in control of Tottenham, as they prepare to back Frank as the Lilywhites currently sit third in the Premier League.
Destiny Udogie has enjoyed a return to form as emerging information proves that Tottenham got a lucky escape with one player in particular.

Tottenham summer target Rayan Ait-Nouri struggles to Thomas Frank’s delight
In the summer, Tottenham were keen to buy Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves. In the end, it seemed like a huge opportunity missed when the attacking full-back joined Manchester City.
Since joining City, Ait-Nouri has failed to impress with the game time given so far, as he continues to struggle through injury.
- Ait-Nouri has only made three appearances for Manchester City this season
- He suffered an ankle injury in September
- The Algerian would have set Tottenham back over £30m
According to Sky Sports, Ait-Nouri‘s move to City was worth up to £36.3m. The former Wolves man would’ve most likely come straight in for Udogie, who suffered injury problems last season.

Udogie started on fire in the 2024-25 season under Ange Postecoglou, before his injuries set him back.
It’s only now that he is starting to look like a real threat again, after the Italian put in an impressive shift against Leeds on 4 October.
Destiny Udogie is getting back to his best at Tottenham under Thomas Frank
Udogie has slowly crept back into the starting line-up, as his minutes are still being managed.
In Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Leeds on Saturday, the left-back put in his best performance of the season so far, while keeping Djed Spence from getting any game time.

Udogie has now featured in eight games this season, as he looks to keep improving under Frank, all while Ait-Nouri continues to struggle in his new surroundings.
