Thomas Frank asking for Tottenham sack if he allows Antonio Conte to sign ‘phenomenal’ Spurs star

Antonio Conte’s Napoli have once again been linked with Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the January transfer window.

The Kulusevski has been out of action all season at Tottenham with a patella injury and is yet to feature under Thomas Frank.

However, a return for the winger at Spurs could now be close, with the Swede now back on the grass.

Yet, the winger may only play a handful of games, with Napoli eyeing a deal for the 25-year-old.

Dejan Kulusevski is top of the list for Napoli this January

Napoli have been linked to Kulusevski before, with former Spurs manager Conte currently in charge of the Serie A outfit.

Now, according to Areanapoli.it on 4 December, this has been renewed, with the winger top of their list of favourites.

However, Spurs are unlikely to sell the Swede, and it would take a substantial offer to agree to his sale.

Nevertheless, if a sale is approved, Frank is asking to be sacked by Tottenham.

Spurs are already lacking creativity and goals, something that the Swede has no issue providing.

Therefore, by getting rid of someone who can help solve your biggest problem, you are simply asking to be booted out of the North London club.

Kulusevski’s stats show that he is the answer to Frank’s prayers

According to Fotmob on 4 December, Kulusevski’s stats last season in the Premier League were excellent.

Despite Spurs’ struggles, the winger was still averaging 0.26 goals and 0.15 assists per game, as well as possessing an 81.2 per cent passing accuracy.

This explains why Kulusevski was described as “phenomenal” last season by John Wenham after Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Galatasaray.

Therefore, when he is back and fully fit, he could help spring Tottenham’s attack to life after an awful recent run of form.

Hopefully, Frank will not rush him back to ensure that he is in top condition for the new year.
