Ange Postecoglou commits ‘Sackable offence’ after what Tottenham loanee did
Ange Postecoglou is under growing pressure at Tottenham, with a decision made last summer potentially coming back to haunt him.
Tottenham are enduring a horrid campaign, and while the current injury crisis is certainly part of the reason behind that, decisions made on and off the pitch have contributed just as much.
Postecogolou has been dealt a tough hand in that regard, but his inability to adapt or accept the blame has done nothing but worsen the situation.
Following Spurs’ FA Cup exit to Aston Villa, the chance of success this campaign is remarkably minimal, with the Europa League their only option left to win something of note.
Given the form and season as it stands, avoiding a relegation battle may be seen as a success, although, based on the situation at the club currently, even that will have question marks over it.
Tottenham slammed over summer decision
Recruitment has been a big talking point at Spurs in recent times, not just in terms of incoming either. Several players departed Tottenham on loan last summer, with one particular player shining at his current club.
Manor Solomon netted yet again for Leeds United in their 4-0 hammering of Watford on Wednesday, taking his contribution tally to 14 this season, leaving Spurs fans to question the decision to loan him out.
Some supporters joked about how they would sell him to fund the non-playing side of the club, while one fan claimed it was a “sackable offence” to sanction his loan exit.

Should Tottenham have kept Manor Solomon?
Hindsight is very rarely a good indicator when it comes to football, but based on Solomon’s performances this season, Spurs could have used him.
Attacking quality has been lacking for Tottenham, and Solomon if given a fair shot, could have contributed plenty in the final third.
Although the difference in quality when it comes to the Championship is telling, Solomon was simply never afforded the chance to showcase what he can do. Not on the same level as the likes of Timo Werner at least who has been afforded chance, after chance, after chance.
Spurs may revisit the decision next summer, but as it stands, it certainly looks to have been the wrong one made.
