Postecoglou set ‘to make Tottenham transfer mistake’ amid latest developments
Tottenham didn’t quite have the winter transfer window they desired.
Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel were the only outfield players that were brought to North London in the winter window despite the sheer number of injuries that Ange Postecoglou’s men had suffered.
While Danso may have made a solid impact since his arrival, more should have come from Daniel Levy and the recruitment team.
However, due to their poor form, it isn’t a surprise to see Spurs’ plans for the summer transfer window already being discussed with the rumour mill already turning.

Manor Solomon could be on his way out of North London
With where Spurs are in the Premier League table at the moment after their win over Ipswich, you’d expect them to be linked with several players but the fact that the future of Manor Solomon is being discussed is quite a surprise.
As per a report from GiveMeSport (23 February), it seems that Tottenham are “willing” to allow the Israel international to leave the club despite the excellent form he’s shown in the Championship this term.
Both Everton and Leeds United – where is on loan – are showing an interest in the attacker with the North London outfit wanting around £15million for his transfer.
Competiton (2024/25) | Matches | Goals | Assists |
Championship | 26 | 7 | 7 |
FA Cup | 2 | 0 | 1 |
Which, when you take into account the 14 Championship goals he’s contributed to already this season, seems fairly low.
But the biggest surprise is the fact that Tottenham want to get rid of him. The winger was brought in from Shakhtar Donetsk and he has really started to show his true potential, so it seems harsh for Spurs to already want to ship him off.

Postecoglou would be making a mistake by selling Solomon
Tottenham’s injury problems have been the toughest thing for the North London outfit to deal with this season.
However, the inconsistent form of players such as James Maddison and Son Heung-min also likely has a part to play in where Spurs currently find themselves.
For Leeds this season, Solomon has mainly been used on the left wing and his pace on the ball alongside his keen eye for goal are just two of the things that have made the Whites one of the most dominant teams in the second tier this term.
Without Solomon among their ranks, Daniel Farke’s men would likely be nowhere near as strong as they are at the moment.
So, with all that in mind, it only feels fair to give the attacker a season to prove his worth and if it doesn’t work out, they’d no doubt be able to sell off the season after next. It feels like a mistake to sanction his exit now.
