Postecoglou ‘set to be saved’ at Tottenham amid latest developments
Ange Postecoglou could find his job saved at Tottenham if they can finalise a deal to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel.
Despite being on the brink of facing the sack after Spurs’ defeat to Leicester [The Sun], there may yet be hope for Postecoglou based on the latest transfer links.
Tottenham are said to have been offered Tel [TBR] and if it is a deal that materialises, it could provide a huge boost for not only Spurs but also for Postecoglou.
His arrival would immediately bolster their attacking line-up and potentially provide the difference in games that have typically not gone the way of Tottenham this season.
Spurs are believed to have readied a bid for the Frenchman [Telegraph].
Mathys Tel to save Postecoglou his job at Tottenham
The need for reinforcement has been evident for several weeks now at Tottenham and with just days remaining in the transfer window, time is running out.
However, with Tel struggling to get much of a look in for Munich, his exit is a real possibility and given the likelihood of regular football at Tottenham, they may hold the upper hand in the race to sign him.
Tel can play just about anywhere across the front line which would immediately provide a huge boost to Postecoglou who has largely had his hands tied behind his back when it comes to team selection as a result of the injury crisis ensuing.

Not only that, but the Frenchman possesses blistering pace and offers something different when the attackers available aren’t able to influence the game.
Nonetheless, Spurs will need to move fast if they are to acquire his services ahead of the closing of the transfer window on 3 February.
