‘Postecoglou sack sealed’: No way back for Tottenham manager at Arsenal
Daniel Levy better have a list of managers’ names ready after Tottenham sunk to a new low at Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Spurs squandered a lead to lose 2-1 at the Emirates, meaning it’s now mid-January and the Lilywhites are 13th in the Premier League table.
Tottenham are below Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford and now West Ham, who have already sacked a manager and replaced him with someone far more capable this month.
Crystal Palace, in 14th, are now level on points with Spurs, who could drop down to 14th themselves on Thursday night if Manchester United do what’s expected of them and beat basement boys Southampton.
What started out as a rut has culminated in Tottenham being in the farcical position they now find themselves in.
It’s crazy that Postecoglou has managed to survive so long and after failing to beat National League side Tamworth in 90 minutes with a strong side on Sunday, and now losing the North London Derby to Arsenal, the Aussie’s position in North London is untenable.
Levy to start sounding out new Tottenham managers
Postecoglou’s sack should be sealed after that display at the Emirates on 15 January. Even if he is to lead Spurs to a Carabao Cup final, it won’t make up for the damage done under his watch in the league.

Levy should have a shortlist of managers at hand and ideally, he should also be sounding out potential replacements already.
It’s the middle of January, the middle of a transfer window and Tottenham are in huge trouble.
Now’s the time for a change.
Levy can’t afford to dawdle.
