Mikey Moore ‘to seek summer exit’ from Tottenham after what Postecoglou said

Mikey Moore will be growing in frustration after he was again snubbed for Tottenham in their latest defeat, with Ange Postecoglou adding more fuel to the fire.

All in all, it has been a season to forget for Tottenham, though injuries have certainly played a part, with several key players forced to sit on the sidelines throughout the campaign.

However, despite that, Moore has still been restricted in terms of game time, and his snub from their defeat to AZ Alkmaar was baffling, given the fact he excelled against the Dutch outfit last time out for Tottenham.

Based on that alone, the talented teen will be questioning what more he needs to do, but after what Postecoglou said elsewhere, it looks as though the future will be even bleaker.

Mathys Tel claim spells bad news for Moore

Off the back of their Europa League defeat, Postecoglou was quizzed on Mathys Tel, revealing that he is “keen” to try the Frenchman in a wide area [Football London], meaning game time will reduce even further for Moore.

Postecoglou said: “Initially, my view was that he would probably play in a wide area for us. Once Solanke was back, I’m keen to try him out there.”

The 17-year-old has been limited to just 16 appearances all campaign and only two starts in the Premier League despite having impressed for Tottenham almost every time he has stepped on the pitch.

Moore has contributed when given the chance

If Moore is being restricted this much in the midst of an injury crisis and a season which looks as though it is going to amount to nothing, concerns will undoubtedly emerge about how much game time he will receive next season.

With that in mind, there is every chance that Moore will want assurances on the number of minutes he will receive or seek a loan exit from Spurs in the summer in a bid to get the first-team exposure that he certainly deserves.

Especially as he approaches his 18th birthday, that exposure will be crucial for his development and as things stand, it looks unlikely that he is going to get it under Postecoglou.

Postecoglou treatment of youngsters has been poor

Given the fact that the senior squad have hardly set the world alight this season, it’s remarkable that Postecoglou hasn’t afforded more game time to some of the talented youth prospects that are present at Tottenham.

Not only Moore, but several others who may have been able to have a positive influence on what has been a dismal campaign.

However, if they aren’t going to get the chance when the squad is down to the barebones, questions will emerge as to when they will be afforded the chance.
