‘Manor Solomon makes feelings clear’ amid uncertain Tottenham future

Manor Solomon is one of a growing list of players at Tottenham whose future is uncertain.

Solomon has made only six appearances for Spurs since joining the Lilywhites as a free agent in 2023.

The Israel international suffered from a serious knee injury in his debut campaign in N17 before joining Leeds United on loan last season and helping the Whites clinch the Championship title.

Thomas Frank was keen on assessing Solomon first hand in pre-season, but the latest developments show that the player has his mind set elsewhere.

Solomon quickly likes Leeds’ latest Instagram post

Solomon’s case for a spot in the first team has been made more complicated by Tottenham signing Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel this summer.

Yang Min-hyeok has also returned from his loan spell with QPR, and has tellingly featured a lot in pre-season clips emerging from Hotspur Way.

The emergence of Mikey Moore will not help the 25-year-old’s chances either, while Son Heung-min could yet stay at Spurs for another year.

Solomon’s statistics at Leeds (2024/25)

Solomon is unlikely to opt for a bit-part role after rebuilding his confidence and reputation at Leeds, where he was an integral part of a side that scored 95 goals in the Championship.

His connection with the Peacocks remains strong, as within minutes, he had liked Leeds’ official Instagram post (14 July) announcing that Dan James had signed a contract extension.

It shows that Solomon’s affection toward the West Yorkshire club and that he would likely be very open to a return to Elland Road as things stand.

Spurs should cash in on Solomon this summer

Solomon would rightfully argue that he was never given a chance at Spurs if he leaves this summer.

However, that is part and parcel of joining a big club like Tottenham, who have to be more ruthless with player departures than they have been in the past.

While it is impossible to force a player under contract out the door, as shown by Richarlison rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, the Lilywhites have been too hesitant to take losses at the right time.

Any money made from selling Solomon would be considered profit, and while his stock is high, Spurs should make the most of it by cashing in on a player that is unlikely to ever be a regular first-team starter.
