Man City ‘a joke’ after Oliver bombshell at Tottenham
Manchester City are preparing a swoop for Tottenham youngster Dexter Oliver.
The 16-year-old has refused to sign a two-year scholarship with the Europa League winners that was offered to him.
Oliver signed with Roc Nation back in March and it looks like the Lilywhites are set to lose the promising forward for free this summer.

Oliver set to sign for Premier League rivals
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium starlet has already attracted interest from Manchester United but it seems that Pep Guardiola’s side will land his signature.
Fabrizio Romano reported (19 June) that Manchester City are advancing in talks to sign Oliver, who is one of the most highly-rated youngsters at Spurs.
The Italian journalist also reported that the Citizens have also made a move for Liverpool youth ace Kaylum Moss, while David Ornstein claimed that they are also set to sign Aston Villa youngster Freddie Lawrie.
Tottenham are the latest to feel Man City misery
Oliver would have had opportunities to play for the first team at Hotspur Way, but it seems like he is willing to give that chance up to try and make it at the Etihad Stadium.
He notched two assists in nine matches in the Lilywhites’ youth ranks this season and had been tipped for a bright future with the N17 outfit but he will apparently not be sticking around.

The path to the senior team in North London seemed easier as Ange Postecoglou gave plenty of his youngsters a chance to impress last season, including the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Dane Scarlett.
It is a shambles that Guardiola’s side can poach whoever they like from the best academies in the country, as well as spending enormous amounts on new signings, with £109million spent in the last month on the likes of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Tottenham are just the latest club to be the victim of City’s sales pitch. Obviously they have been very successful over the last few years and that is attractive, but whether the youth players will even have a chance to make an impact is doubtful.
Oliver may experience that the tough way if he does join City from Tottenham.
