Lucas Bergvall set to take his career to the next level amid ‘brilliant’ claim away from Tottenham
Lucas Bergvall could be about to take his career to new heights after an excellent start to the season at Tottenham.
The 19-year-old’s performances have been a revelation for Thomas Frank’s side in recent weeks, as he continues to take on an ever-increasing amount of responsibility within the team in N17.
Bergvall is going from strength to strength at Tottenham, who will surely be anticipating interest from some of the world’s richest clubs in future years if he continues to progress at his current rate.
The midfielder now looks set to take another major step in his career imminently, following a glowing claim that has come from elsewhere.

Lucas Bergvall set for major Sweden role amid ‘brilliant’ praise
Tottenham beat Barcelona to Bergvall’s signature when they signed him back in February 2024, and the £8.5million that they paid for his services is being made to look like even more of a bargain with every passing game.
The youngster is quickly establishing himself as a regular starter within Frank’s new-look Spurs side, and that could also become the case at international level imminently, based on the latest comments from Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Tomasson has praised the impact that the midfielder has made at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has insisted that he has watched almost every one of his games so far this term.
“He (Bergvall) has been brilliant,” the 49-year-old told Fotboll Skanalen.
“Apart from the match on Tuesday (against Bodo/Glimt), I have watched every minute he has played, and he has done very well.
“He is influencing the matches a lot at the moment. He creates chances, scores goals, and also plays with a lot of physicality.”

Bergvall has already earned four senior caps for his national team, but is still waiting for his first start for his country, although that could be about to change very soon based on his boss’ statements.
The next step in his career is for the youngster to take on a similar level of influence for Sweden, and that is surely destined to happen in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Kosovo.

Lucas Bergvall’s international rise won’t concern Tottenham
Tottenham rejected an international call-up for Radu Dragusin earlier this week, as the defender continues to recover from injury, but Bergvall’s likely involvement will surely be viewed as nothing but good news.
The former Djurgarden starlet is at the age where he needs as much football as possible, and he has proven himself to be durable enough to withstand minutes during the international break.
If Tomasson does opt to hand him starts in the upcoming qualifiers, then the Lilywhites will surely be watching on with pride, knowing that he has successfully completed a major step in his career.
Bergvall’s performances so far this season are a sign of what is to come, and the sky is the limit for him in the future at both club and international level.
