Kolo Muani ‘major step closer to Tottenham deal’ after what PSG have done

Randal Kolo Muani could be closer to a move to Tottenham Hotspur after Paris Saint-Germain agreed a fee with Napoli for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano (via RMC Sport, 14 January), Kvaratskhelia – who has previously been linked to the Premier League – will sign a five-year deal with PSG after asking to leave Napoli in a deal worth approximately £60million.

Kolo Muani has already been deemed surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes, and Spurs are pursuing the French international as a priority target to bolster Ange Postecoglou’s attack.

With the deal as good as sealed for Kvaratskhelia to become a PSG player, Kolo Muani could be pushed one step closer to North London, with an offer reportedly already on the table from Spurs (L’Equipe, 14 January).

Kolo Muani wanted by Tottenham… and Arsenal?

North London looks increasingly likely to be Kolo Muani’s destination at some stage over the coming weeks, with the star of the Georgian national side Kvaratskhelia swapping Naples for Paris.

But will it be white or red? It has been reported by the Daily Mail (14 January) that PSG have offered Kolo Muani out to a range of clubs for a recoup via a loan-to-buy deal, with Arsenal’s name having been mentioned as the Gunners themselves look to strengthen.

However, the 26-year-old does look far closer to joining Tottenham and Kvaratskhelia’s move could also trigger a merry-go-round, with Kolo Muani replacing Timo Werner at Spurs because Napoli are now interested in the German, who has disappointed while on loan from RB Leipzig (Gianluca di Marzio, 13 January).
