It could represent a huge blow for the Lilywhites if they were keen on bringing the Englishman back in the summer after a poor year.
There is no doubt that Kane would transform Spurs and likely get the best out of Son Heung-min once again after his level has dropped.
Now it appears that the striker is set to remain in Bavaria, and Postecoglou will be forced to get the best of his squad while targeting other options.
This will be music to the ears of someone like Dominic Solanke, although he certainly could have thrived under the tutelage of Kane.
