Jamie Carragher spot on with Ange Postecoglou sack verdict at Tottenham
Tottenham have continued to struggle with injuries throughout the Ange Postecoglou era in North London.
The Australian is dealing with a whole host of injury concerns that saw over 10 players miss out from the Spurs squad against Aston Villa.
This has made life difficult for the Lilywhites who have been dumped out of both domestic cups and also sit 14th in the Premier League.
There doesn’t appear to be an end in sight for Spurs right now with the finger now being pointed at Postecoglou as the one to blame.
Jamie Carragher blames Ange Postecoglou for Tottenham injuries
It is fair to say that all the muscle injuries that the North London outfit are dealing with may point towards training and style of play being an issue.
There was a similar trend with the Aussie head coach in his previous job with Celtic which hasn’t been forgotten by Jamie Carragher.
The former Liverpool defender blamed Postecoglou’s style of play for the number of issues that the Lilywhites are dealing with.
While speaking on the It’s Called Soccer podcast (12 February), he said: “That seems to happen a lot under [Ange] Postecoglou.
“So, I understand, he’s using that as mitigation and understandably as his best players are off the pitch. But is his style of play contributing to the amount of injuries that they get? I probably think there’s a good chance that it is.”
The Sky Sports pundit isn’t for pulling punches over his opinion on the Spurs manager who has come under fire in recent weeks.
Ange Postecoglou has to take accountability for Tottenham issues
Carragher is right in what he is saying.
Realistically, the ex-Melbourne Victory manager has to take the majority of the blame for what is happening in N17 right now.
Muscle injuries are going to be more likely as the number of games goes up, these have been suffered by the likes of Destiny Udogie, James Maddison and Timo Werner this season.
As the amount of fixtures increases, training practices have to change as well.

That clearly hasn’t been the case in North London and Postecoglou has stuck to his ways and maintained an unsustainable style of play that has only caused further problems.
Losing the likes of Radu Dragusin and Dominic Solanke to knee injuries within such a short period says a lot about the issues at Spurs.
Moving forward, the Australian is better off changing his approach to help get the best out his players and avoid any further injuries.
