‘Frank to make first major Tottenham blunder’ as Richarlison bombshell drops

Richarlison’s Tottenham future has been heavily speculated upon all summer.

The Brazilian international has been poor since his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he has struggled to score goals.

Last season, Richarlison put in some awful performances as Spurs flopped in the Premier League.

As a result, Richarlison has been linked away from Tottenham as part of Thomas Frank’s impending squad overhaul.

Frank to assess Richarlison in pre-season

Despite all of this, Richarlison is a wanted man this summer, with Galatasaray targeting the striker

Nevertheless, there is a chance that the 28-year-old stays at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the upcoming season, according to a recent report.

Lyall Thomas via Sky Sports News (3 July) has claimed that Frank is planning on assessing the Brazilian in pre-season before he makes a decision on his future.

Richarlison is only contributing to one goal every three games

Richarlison would prefer to stay at Spurs and fight for his place in the first-team.

However, if Frank opts to keep the attacker, it would be a massive blunder from the Dane.

Tottenham have now had Richarlison for three seasons, yet he has only hit double-figure goals once.

Last season, he was simply appalling and added no attacking threat at all when on the pitch.

This is unlikely to change next season, and Frank must simply get rid of him as soon as possible.

Tottenham must target attacking reinforcements

Whatever Frank chooses to do with the Brazilian, he must look to sign another top attacker this summer.

Spurs have been crying out for a proper number nine since Harry Kane left.

While Dominic Solanke still has time to step into this role, he struggled for consistency last season.

Therefore, giving the England international more competition up front may help get the best out of him while also adding more goals to the team.

Hopefully, Frank has some potential signings in mind, and will make a more as soon as possible.
