Destiny Udogie ‘exit sealed’ as Tottenham edge closer to transfer agreement

Destiny Udogie could be one of several players set to depart Tottenham this summer.

As of right now, the only thing that matters is whether or not Tottenham can find success via the Europa League; only then will summer decisions come into question.

However, Spurs will still be keeping one eye on any early transfer business that can be conducted ahead of the summer transfer window, both in terms of incoming and outgoings.

James Maddison has already been mooted for an exit from Tottenham, and Udogie could be next in line.

Tottenham edge closer to Rayan Ait-Nouri deal

Based on the wretched campaign that Tottenham have endured domestically, the need for summer reinforcements has never been more obvious.

Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri has been linked with Tottenham, and according to a report from africafoot (18 March), Spurs are the most likely to win the race to sign the Algerian.

Of course, given the season he has had with Wolves, any move will be done so in his own best interests, and moving to Tottenham to be second in line simply wouldn’t make sense.

If a deal occurs, it feels almost nailed on that Udogie will move on, having failed to impress for Tottenham this season, albeit he isn’t the only one.

Ait-Nouri would be an instant upgrade for the North London occupants, though their ability to conclude a deal may hinge on whether or not they can secure European football next season.

Tottenham have a huge summer ahead

Daniel Levy will not have time to breathe this summer with the number of decisions he will need to make to ensure Spurs get back to where they should be.

Not only will the future of Ange Postecoglou be in question, but also the future of several first-team players who have had their part to play in this regression.

Especially if Tottenham fail to win the Europa League, this summer could have huge ramifications on the future of the club.
