Daniel Levy’s greed has already held Thomas Frank back as Tottenham bombshell drops

Thomas Frank is the latest Tottenham manager to fall victim to Daniel Levy.

The likes of Jose Mourinho and Ange Postecoglou have fallen foul of the controversial Spurs owner in recent times, the latter after winning the Europa League.

Frank has had a tough start to his reign in North London, with Son Heung-min leaving for LAFC and a pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White falling apart.

The latest developments from Hotspur Way will not help his cause as the new Premier League season approaches rapidly.

Maddison’s latest injury blow revealed by Tottenham

James Maddison is one of Tottenham’s best players when he is fit and firing, capable of turning matches single-handedly.

However, Frank will be missing his talisman attacking midfielder for a significant period after a new update from the Lilywhites.

The English star went off injured in the pre-season draw with Newcastle, and the extent of his injury has now been revealed.

Tottenham took to X (7 August) to confirm that Maddison is set for surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Levy is at fault for Maddison’s injury

Tottenham embarked on a tour of Asia, in another cash grab from Levy, but it has now backfired massively.

Spurs played arch-rivals the Gunners and the Magpies during their time on the other side of the world, which can only be due to financial reasons.

Matches against Premier League rivals will generate the most money, but they are more intense, which may have ultimately led to Maddison’s injury.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been one of the most vocal critics of the number of games that footballers play in the modern game, and it seems like he has proven right once again.

Unfortunately, the likes of Levy and Co. will not listen to his argument and will do anything that they can to make the most money possible, to the detriment of their players.

It has left Frank in a tough position, without one of his best stars for the majority of the campaign, and Levy has to now make up for it in the market if Spurs are to have any chance of success.
