Daniel Levy has all eyes on him after sacking Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham despite winning the Europa League.

The Australian manager beat Manchester United in San Mames, ending the North London outfit’s 17-year wait for a trophy.

Spurs fans weren’t pleased with Postecoglou’s dismissal, and the next permanent manager will be expected to be an instant success.

Tottenham right to snub Mauricio Pochettino for Thomas Frank after USMNT woes

Mauricio Pochettino’s return to Tottenham was something being considered in N17 after Postecoglou was fired.

The USMNT head coach had a fruitful spell at the North London outfit, consistently finishing in the top four and taking them to the Champions League final in 2019.

Pochettino hasn’t had the best spells in America, though, losing 4-0 to Switzerland in a friendly at Geodis Park on Tuesday (10 June).

The ex-Tottenham manager is under pressure now in the United States, with GiveMeSport journalist Dean Jones writing on X (11 June): “This decline has been setting in for a while and alarm bells are ringing. The lack of identity. There are calls for ‘Poch out’.”

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Argentine head coach being sacked by the USMNT, vindicating Levy’s decision to pick Thomas Frank over him.

Frank looks set to join Spurs and lead them ahead of the upcoming campaign after some impressive years at Brentford.

The Danish manager has consistently exceeded expectations with the Bees over the years, despite facing relative financial constraints.

With the 51-year-old head coach making his way to Tottenham, fans are excited to see what the future holds for them.

While Pochettino’s return to Spurs would have had an emotional aspect to it, the North London outfit’s hierarchy have made the right call to disregard it.

The ex-Southampton boss hasn’t had the best of spells at various teams since leaving the Lilywhites, and it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for him.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Americans sack the Argentine manager after losing four back-to-back matches.

Levy seems to have made the right call with the manager and should now invest in quality signings this summer if Tottenham are to compete in all competitions next season.
