Daniel Levy ‘makes another Tottenham blunder’ after transfer news elsewhere

Tottenham loaned Will Lankshear to West Brom and it may be another transfer blunder from Daniel Levy after news emerged from The Hawthorns.

Lankshear, for reasons unknown, found game time severely limited at Tottenham thus leading him to a loan exit to Championship side West Brom.

On the face of it, it appeared to be a relatively decent deal for Spurs but with the Baggies looking to add two new strikers before the deadline, questions have to be asked whether that game time will come in the Midlands.

With Josh Maja, Daryl Dike, Karlan Grant and a potential two new arrivals, concerns will emerge as to where Lankshear will fit in that squad and it could be yet another blunder made by Levy.

West Brom loan may be a failure for Will Lankshear and Tottenham

Having impressed in the odd appearance he has made at North London, Lankshear needed a place where he could showcase that ability on a weekly basis and the signs from West Brom suggest that may not be the club for that.

Although Maja is out injured at the moment, his return will undoubtedly see him reinstated as the first-choice striker and with links to Southampton’s Adam Armstrong [DOOD], you could only assume he would be next in line.

The last thing Lankshear needs is to spend the rest of the season as a fringe player and when considering the other clubs that were said to be in the race to sign him, the Baggies are starting to look like the wrong choice to send him.

Of course, only time will tell but at the moment, any concerns over his importance in the side are more than warranted and Tottenham may be forced to regret their decision down the line.
