‘Daniel Levy has questions to answer’ amid Wissa transfer development
Tottenham have been heavily linked with Yoane Wissa this summer.
The Brentford attacker had a wonderful 2024/25 campaign where he netted 19 Premier League goals.
Therefore, Thomas Frank has been keen to bring Wissa to Tottenham this summer to help build up his attacking options.
Rumours had indicated that Brentford would accept £50 million for Wissa.
However, Spurs now face a race to get the deal finalised.

Newcastle enter the race for Yoane Wissa
Wissa would no doubt be a great signing for Tottenham, with the DR Congo international having plenty of excellent attacking quality.
However, according to GIVEMESPORT (16 July), Spurs could now miss out on the winger, with Newcastle entering the race.
Eddie Howe is in the market for a new striker this summer to partner Alexander Isak.
Hugo Ekitike is believed to be the Magpies’ main target, but if this doesn’t materialise, they will look to pursue Wissa.

The report goes on to say that it is seen as “surprising” that Tottenham have not formalised their interest in the Brentford attacker, given their interest, which has now paved the way for Newcastle to enter the race.
If Spurs end up missing out on Wissa to Newcastle, Daniel Levy has massive questions to answer.
The 28-year-old likely favours a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, given that Frank is now the manager.
Therefore, if the transfer does not go through, it is nothing but incompetence from Levy.

Tottenham must prioritise their attack in the transfer window
With the start of the Premier League season now just weeks away, Spurs have no time to waste.
New attackers must be brought through the door as soon as possible.
On top of this, the UEFA Super Cup is also next month, and gives Frank a perfect opportunity to win a trophy early in his Spurs career.
The majority of Tottenham’s deals have to be done before this date or it is a massive missed opportunity.
