Roberto De Zerbi odds crash again in Premier League sack race as nervous Tottenham wait begins

Roberto De Zerbi is not having the impact that Tottenham expected him to.

Celebrations were way over the top when Spurs survived relegation from the Premier League last season.

It was seen as somewhat of a miracle, yet it's totally embarrassing that it has come down to that.

Although, Tottenham have now finished 17th in consecutive Premier League seasons.

And as if it couldn't get any worse, Spurs are now actually bottom of the table as the first international break hits.

So, could De Zerbi be looking over his shoulder in this break?

What do the Premier League sack odds look like?

If you're De Zerbi, not very good.

Fulham and Alvaro Arbeloa have enjoyed a couple of fighting performances, while Coventry picked up their first win just before the break.

That keeps Frank Lampard safe, especially after promotion.

But, what is De Zerbi and Tottenham's excuse? There isn't one.

Major bookmakers have the Italian as favourite for the sack in the Premier League now, and it's no surprise whatsoever.

Moving from 9/4 to 2/1 already in the international break, it's becoming very nervy in the North London dugout.

Why the Lewis family won't hesitate to sack De Zerbi

You only have to look at the money spent to show why Spurs simply can't finish 17th again, nevermind relegated.

It's totally embarrassing and just goes to show how much of a failure things have been for years now.

Fans were ecstatic when Daniel Levy packed up and left, but the Lewis family can't be shown as weak when it comes to these decisions.

Spending over £300million on the likes of Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Savio was seen as a huge plus, but it also places a target.

If De Zerbi can't turn things around soon, he'll be gone before Halloween arrives, nevermind Christmas.

Right now, we'll still in the stage of backing De Zerbi to come good with his new signings when they settle.

But, that won't last for much longer, especially with the money spent and the fact that these signings all know the Premier League perfectly.
