Yves Bissouma reacts as successful surgery confirmed
Tottenham Hotspur could potentially have one of the most exciting midfields in the Premier League next season.
If the Lilywhites can secure the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White in what is turning out to be one of the most bizarre transfer sagas in recent years, then Thomas Frank will be delighted.
If Yves Bissouma wants to become a regular under Frank next season, the 28-year-old will face some stiff competition from the likes of Archie Gray, who could be deployed in midfield more.
Lucas Bergvall could also prominently feature under Frank next season after the Swedish midfielder recovered from the stretched ligament in his foot that cut his year short.

Bissouma reacts to surgery news
Spurs have one of the most exciting young midfield partnerships in the Premier League available to them, combined with the potential ability to play Gibbs-White just ahead of them if they secure their man.
Bissouma must stay fit if he wants to play a large role in the rebuild at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium under Frank.
The Mali international lost his position in the team last season under Ange Postecoglou, having to settle for a more rotational role.
Spurs’ pre-season may be a good indicator of how prominently Bissouma will feature under his new boss, with the midfielder also frequently struggling with injuries since his arrival from Brighton.

Bissouma will know just how gruelling the injuries a professional footballer suffers can be, and the midfielder was quick to post a message of support on his Instagram story (18 July) to Al Sadd’s Mohamed Camara, who recently had surgery.
“Get well soon, brother, may Allah give you the strength to come back stronger,” he said.

Spurs should look to cash in on Bissouma
Given his injury record and poor form, Spurs should look to sell Bissouma if they receive a respectable offer for the midfielder in the summer.
Given the fact that he lost his place in the team last season, with the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr being favoured ahead of him, it looks to be a long road back for Bissouma at Spurs.
Whilst undoubtedly possessing quality, being one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League at Brighton, the midfielder may find a new lease of life away from North London.
The Lilywhites may opt to keep Bissouma; however, if they are unable to bring a replacement in, with a potential transfer ban looming over their heads after the Gibbs-White situation.
