Xavi Hernandez update emerges as Tottenham make Ange Postecoglou sack decision
Xavi Hernandez is 16/1 to become the next Tottenham manager, according to the latest Paddy Power odds.
The former Barcelona manager is currently out of a job and he has been mentioned in the list of potential managers as listed by Odds Checker.
While Spurs are struggling domestically, the board have decided to stick with Ange Postecoglou for the time being. [The Sun, 20 January]
Xavi will be a solid appointment for Tottenham
If Spurs can convince Xavi to join, it will be a stellar appointment.
Not only does he play good football, being a La Masia graduate and honing his skills under Pep Guardiola, but he will also arrive as a World Cup and Champions League winner as a player.
While his managerial career has not been overly illustrious, he’s still won La Liga and the Super Cup in Spain and a number of titles in Qatar.
Obviously, the Premier League is a different ball game, but he can bring that winning mentality to the dressing room as it’s evident that the players need it.
A lot of the players need someone strong who can show them who’s the boss and unfortunately, things do not seem to be working out for Postecoglou.

Whether or not, the hierarchy consider Xavi in the event of sacking the Australian, remains to be seen.
In other Tottenham news, an update has emerged on Kieran McKenna succeeding Ange Postecoglou to become the next Spurs manager.
