Why all roads still lead to Mauricio Pochettino for Tottenham despite Igor Tudor developments
Igor Tudor looks set to take over at Tottenham.
Tottenham have reached an agreement with the former Juventus manager for him to take over until the end of the season.
Spurs want a new manager in place by Monday, and it looks like they are set to get their wish after the latest developments.
He may well be eyeing a permanent appointment, but it may not be that simple for the North London club.
Why Tudor may not take over in the summer
While Tudor is line to take the role immediately, he is not necessarily the favourite to be the boss on August 22.
In a strange development, he is 8/1 to be the Spurs manager on that date with one bookmaker, with Mauricio Pochettino listed as the 9/4 favourite, as of Friday afternoon.
Other contenders to take over in August include ex-Brighton man Roberto De Zerbi at 4/1, former Lilywhites striker Robbie Keane at 6/1, and recently hired coach John Heitinga at 16/1.

Oliver Glasner is an another outsider, rated at 16/1, to take the post after his Crystal Palace exit at the end of the campaign.
Why all roads lead to Pochettino?
All roads lead to Pochettino, the oddsmakers seem to believe that he will take over after the World Cup in the summer.
He is unlikely to leave his role with the United States national team until after the tournament, and it would take a huge compensation amount for that to happen, which would be financially irresponsible for the N17 outfit.
It would be best for all parties to wait, and sort a deal once that tournament is over, for the Argentine to finally come back to North London.
Tottenham fans are desperate for the 53-year-old to return after he previously took them to the Champions League final and built one of the best teams that they have ever seen.
Alan Brazil has revealed that Pochettino told him that he loves the club and seems to be willing to come back if offered the post.
It seems as though they may get their wish, if the oddsmakers are correct, they will just have to wait for him.
