Vicario woeful, 4/10 ace terrible – Tottenham player ratings v Forest

Tottenham saw no change to their domestic form as they suffered defeat in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men came to North London to secure the three points in their quest to seal Champions League football for next season, and they did exactly that.

Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood scored for the visitors as they secured a 2-1 victory on Monday.

Tottenham fans unlikely to change their minds on Ange Postecoglou

This was a game that Spurs dominated in terms of possession but that also was based on the game state.

Had Forest not been two goals up at one point, they would have come out more and tried to create more goal-scoring chances.

Nuno was happy to ask his players to sit deep and compact and make it hard for the hosts to score.

Ange Postecoglou’s system still does not seem to be working and while he is getting results in Europe, the domestic displays continue to be woeful.

Despite the fact that the players have a Europa League semi-final to play in, they did not seem galvanised by the occasion.

It wasn’t a good watch for the home fans either, who watched their team lose yet another game this season – the 18th in the league.
