Van de Ven sends message after season-ending injury news at Tottenham

Tottenham have had little luck since they secured their place in the Europa League final.

Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on the weekend, just days after their victory over Bodo/Glimt took them one game away from a trophy.

Ange Postecoglou no doubt knows that his season, and potentially his Tottenham legacy, rests on the final.

However, the North London club received a damning blow to their ambitions of winning the competition this week as it was confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski will be out of the match due to surgery.

Kulusevski’s season is over after his injury against Crystal Palace.

The Swede has had to have surgery, with the star being the latest player who will miss the Europa League final next week.

This is no doubt a damning loss for Tottenham, with Spurs fans expressing their fury with the medical team.

Kulusevski is also upset with the news, and the midfielder took to Instagram (14 May) to thank fans for their support throughout the campaign.

On the post, many Spurs players commented their support for the Swede, including Micky Van de Ven.

The defender simply posted a red love heart emoji to his teammate.

Tottenham cannot afford another injury before Europa League final

To say Tottenham’s injuries have ruined their campaign would be putting it mildly.

The East London club seemingly cannot escape a star player hitting the sidelines.

It is hard to see where Tottenham are going to get their creative spark from in Bilbao, in what is going to be one of their biggest games in their history.

However, the one thing that is certain is that the club cannot afford to lose anyone else before the final or they will be in big trouble.

Once the season is over, the club needs to begin an investigation to see why there have been so many injuries and look at how they can prevent this next year.
