UEFA told to intervene after ‘Disgraceful’ scenes in Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham
Tottenham are now preparing for the sixth European final in their history.
Ange Postecoglou’s side fought valiantly in a 3-1 victory against Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, sealing it with a 2-0 win in Norway on Thursday.
The pressure on Postecoglou has been building after a disappointing Premier League campaign, and the Europa League trophy could be his last chance of securing his future at the North London club.
Despite goals from Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro, it was far from easy after the shocking scenes that greeted them as the game kicked off.

UEFA encouraged to address pitch conditions
Postecoglou has led his side in a commendable Europa League campaign so far.
Europa League Knockouts | Home | Away |
v AZ Alkmaar | 3-1 | 1-0 |
v Frankfurt | 1-1 | 0-1 |
v Bodo/Glimt | 3-1 | 0-2 |
However, with Spurs’ entire season on the line, there has been a demand for perfection amongst supporters, with Postecoglou facing criticism for the inclusion of Richarlison to face Bodo/Glimt.
Thankfully, it paid off in the end, with Spurs easing through despite several injury problems.
Tottenham fans have since been knocking on UEFA’s door after the pitch was revealed in Norway.
The artificial pitch at Bodo/Glimt’s Aspmyra Stadium was seen to have creases in it, much to the dismay of supporters who demanded the governing body take action.
UEFA should intervine…

Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham has never been more uncertain
This may have been the game of Postecoglou’s life at Tottenham, and after months of torment, he deserves credit for the way his side has navigated the knockout stages.
Daniel Levy would have been well within his rights to sack the 59-year-old on the spot, should it have ended in defeat, but he has now managed wins in Germany and Norway.
Levy has already been looking for options to replace the current Spurs coach, and his plans are set to accelerate if Postecoglou is unable to get the job done in Bilbao.
With the Australians’ future on the line and Spurs on the brink of achieving greatness, there is more at stake than anyone could have ever imagined.
