Tottenham v Liverpool betting odds: Mohamed Salah enticing at 4/1

Tottenham host Liverpool in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday evening with pressure growing on Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou remains under pressure to keep his job at Spurs following their narrow defeat to Newcastle United last time out.

As it stands, his position at the club is safe [David Ornstein] but that could change if Spurs were to suffer a heavy defeat to the league leaders on 8 January.

Mohamed Salah is the talk of the Premier League at the moment having registered a ridiculous 31 goal contributions in 18 appearances, and he is priced at 4/1 to open the scoring on Wednesday with silly odds of 20/21 for him to net at any time in the encounter.

Djed Spence dealt well with the Egyptian in their most recent league encounter and should he start the game, he will have another tough task at hand.

One of the more eye-catching bets comes in the form of a bet builder, with both teams to score and Salah and Dominic Solanke to have more than one shot on target each priced at 9/1, boosted from 17/2.

The latter is priced at 8/1 to open the scoring for Tottenham, with Solanke expected to start the tie and having odds of 21/10 to find the net at any time in the game.

Should Tottenham find themselves 1-0 up at half-time, you can back this at odds of 6/1 while Spurs are 3/1 to finish as winners in the clash.

Given the expected competitiveness of the clash, it would be reasonably fair to predict a few yellow cards, with Conor Bradley the bookies’ favourite to get a yellow card priced at 15/8, with Malachi Hardy a surprise inclusion just behind him at odds of 11/5.
