Tottenham v Leicester: O’Hara drops ‘Outrageous’ claim after what’s been said
Jamie O’Hara was reluctant to admit that Premier League strugglers Leicester City deserved to beat Tottenham on Sunday.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side were without a victory in eight Premier League matches, seeing them drift further into the relegation zone, until their 2-1 win at Hotspur Way on 26 January.
This has seen the pressure mount on manager Ange Postecoglou, with Spurs now just three spots above the Premier League dropzone after 23 games, and concerns are starting to emerge.
Speaking live via talkSPORT [27 January, 9:10am], O’Hara said: “Some of the football we were playing was awful. Leicester deserved the win and to say that Leicester deserve a win after seven losses on the bounce is outrageous.”
Tottenham deserved to lose against Leicester City
Sure, all three points deserved to go back to the King Power Stadium on Sunday night. However, most Spurs supporters will suggest that their team deserved to lose rather than Leicester deserved to win.
The Lilywhites took the lead through Richarlison just after the half-hour mark, with both sets of fans expecting a routine win for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
But with Jamie Vardy in the team, the Foxes were always bound to create key chances and the 38-year-old took his just one minute into the second half before Bilal El Khannouss completed the turnaround four minutes later.
It is an utterly embarrassing performance and result by Postecoglou’s team, who now sit just eight points above the relegation zone, piling pressure on the Australian.

Daniel Levy has already been tipped to pull the trigger on the manager’s time in North London, but that just begs the question of who would replace him at the helm if he were to be sacked.
Mauricio Pochettino looks to be in the running for a shock return to Hotspur Way, with Edin Terzic and Andoni Iraola both being linked with the job.
In other Tottenham news, new investors at Hotspur Way must supply ammunition for Ange Postecoglou following an Amanda Staveley update.
