Tottenham fans are expecting a busy week ahead as Thomas Frank makes his intentions clear.

The first official week of Frank’s tenure would have been spent discussing potential targets with the Tottenham hierarchy and becoming accustomed to his new surroundings.

The Lilywhites are now expecting initial inquiries and interest to materialise into players signing, and will expect Daniel Levy to live up to the promise he made to focus on the first team.

Bakayoko receives an offer from an unnamed Premier League club

PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko has been a player that Frank has long admired, with the Dane widely reported to have tried to sign the 22-year-old during his time at Brentford.

As reported by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu via DTalkingArsenal on X (22 June), an unnamed Premier League club has made an offer for the versatile Dutch forward.

Bakayoko’s statistics for PSV last season

The talented Belgian has been heralded as one of Europe’s top talents and was a key contributor to PSV securing the Eredivisie title in dramatic circumstances on the final day of the season.

With Frank’s prior interest in the player and Tottenham’s persistent search for a new right-sided forward like Mohammed Kudus, the Lilywhites could well be the unnamed club vying for Bakayoko’s signature.

Frank to sign up to three players before pre-season

Tottenham’s lucrative pre-season tour is set to kick off with a clash against bitter rivals Arsenal in Hong Kong (31 July), and Frank will be eager to have the bulk of his signings confirmed by then.

It is believed that Spurs will have made three signings before that date [Football London], with interest in players set to materialise in the coming weeks.

Son Heung-min is expected to remain for the tour, which will conclude in his home country, South Korea, after which he may be allowed to depart if Spurs can find a worthy replacement.

Frank wants to keep Ashley Phillips amid Sheffield United interest

Ashley Phillips spent last season on loan at Stoke City, earning plenty of plaudits and attracting the interest of fellow Championship clubs.

However, as reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (22 June), Frank is keen on giving Phillips the time to prove himself at Spurs and wants to keep him in his squad next season.

The 19-year-old was signed from Blackburn Rovers for £2million in 2023 and has spent time on loan with Plymouth Argyle as well as Stoke City.
