Tottenham told to ‘send Mathys Tel back to Bayern Munich’ in double exit
Tottenham have been given something of a let-off this season, securing Champions League football thanks to their Europa League success over Manchester United.
Although the Lilywhites finished the Premier League campaign sitting 17th in the table, winning a trophy and gaining European football gives Spurs a big boost going into the summer transfer window.
There is no way that Tottenham can have another season as poor as this again, and the pressure is on Ange Postecoglou, or whoever is at the helm, to get the business right in preparation.
The first thing on the mind of the manager will be to sort out the future of those in limbo, including Mathys Tel, whose loan deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium comes to an end this summer.

Gabby Agbonlahor tells Tottenham to leave Tel
Tel is just 20-years-old, but his time at Tottenham has been slow to get going, with three goal involvements in 13 Premier League appearances.

With his loan spell in north London coming to an end, Spurs will have a decision to make over whether they choose to make the deal permanent in a £45million move.
It has been reported that the Lilywhites could be tempted to go back to Bayern Munich and negotiate terms for a new deal to reduce the fee that they would pay.
However, Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Spurs to cut all ties ahead of the new season, arguing that serious upgrades will be needed to compete in Europe’s top competition.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (26 May, 6:58 am), Agbonlahor was asked who he would get rid of at Tottenham, and he replied: “I’m getting rid of Richarlison. I’m sending Tel straight back to Bayern Munich, no thank you.”
Tottenham to negotiate for Tel
There haven’t been too many Tottenham players who have covered themselves in glory this season, and Spurs cannot overhaul their entire squad this summer.
Tel has shown some promise, and while the £45m fee feels quite steep given his contributions so far, if the north London outfit could negotiate a better deal, it could be a good deal to strike.
Bayern Munich are seemingly keen to part ways with the forward to offload him from the wage bill, which could give Tottenham the upper hand when it comes to negotiating a new deal.
With uncertainty hanging over Postecoglou’s future still, Daniel Levy’s call over the managerial situation is also likely to have a big impact on the outcome of this saga.
