‘Tottenham to confirm transfer in hours’ as Kudus footage emerges at Hotspur Way
Tottenham have suddenly sprung into action in the transfer market after a slow start.
Daniel Levy looked like he was returning to his old ways as June passed without any fresh faces arriving through the doors at Hotspur Way.
That has quickly changed with the arrival of Kōta Takai, as Thomas Frank was pushing to get new players in ahead of Spurs’ first pre-season clash against Reading, which is just days away.
It was clear from the moment the Dane arrived that a top-tier forward with Premier League experience was Frank’s priority, and it looks like he is about to get his wish with the imminent arrival of Mohammed Kudus.

Kudus is spotted arriving at Hotspur Way
Levy has been forced to labour with old rivals at West Ham to agree a deal for Kudus, who will be Spurs’ first signing from the Hammers in 14 years.
A fee of just around £55million has been agreed, with the Ghanaian reportedly only having eyes for a move to Tottenham this summer.
Spurs now appear only hours away from confirming Kudus’ arrival after he was recorded arriving at Hotspur Way by journalist Kwame Dela (10 July).
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
West Ham | 80 | 23 | 14 |
Ajax | 87 | 27 | 12 |
Nordsjaelland | 57 | 14 | 3 |
The 24-year-old was signed by West Ham in August 2023 and had an exceptional debut season in which he recorded 28 direct goal involvements.
Two managerial changes at the London Stadium saw the level of his performances substantially drop last season, but Frank will hope his excellent record in developing players will see the talented forward quickly return to his best.
Levy is finally turning a leaf at Tottenham
Levy may finally be ready to turn a new leaf when it comes to transfers after years of questionable strategies.
The Spurs chairman’s disposition has been to invest in younger talents with huge potential sell-on values rather than buying players for the present.
Dominic Solanke was the only player signed in his prime last summer. However, the impending arrival of Kudus and the news of a deal being agreed for Morgan Gibbs-White suggest change is in the air.
