Tottenham to announce three further exits after Ange Postecoglou dismissal

Ange Postecoglou is expected to be followed by three more people after the Australian was sacked by Tottenham.

Tottenham announced the dismissal of Postecoglou on Friday (6 June), after the 59-year-old oversaw the Lilywhites’ worst-ever Premier League campaign.

Spurs ended the season in 17th place and suffered 22 defeats, the most of any side in history not to be relegated from the Premier League.

Now, Tottenham are expected to announce three more exits as the push for change continues.

In addition, Donna-Maria Cullen announced her shock decision to step down as Executive Director at Tottenham, while Ryan Mason has left the Lilywhites to take over as Head Coach at West Brom.

Now, as reported by Matt Law (7 June), Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery, and Sergio Raimundo will also leave Tottenham. All three joined Spurs under Postecoglou and will depart alongside him.

Matt Wells and goalkeeping coach Rob Burch will stay, but it is unknown whether a new appointment will change this.

Tottenham must decide on a new coach

The Postecoglou saga has already impacted Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Indeed, the Lilywhites have let several players slip through their fingers, including Angel Gomes, who will join Marseille as a free transfer from Lille.

As a result, Spurs will need to appoint Postecoglou’s replacement soon to avoid more transfer mishaps.

Potential transfer targets will want to know who will be in charge before committing to the club. Meanwhile, the new coach will need time to plan for and have a say in fresh recruits.

Frank has emerged as the favourite to replace Postecoglou. The Brentford boss oversaw an impressive Premier League campaign in West London, as the Bees finished 10th with 56 points.

Postecoglou was beloved by the players, and his dismissal could see numerous Tottenham stars leave with him this summer.
