Tottenham supporters will love what Tom Holland has said about Harry Kane

Tom Holland was in the same boat as all Tottenham fans when Harry Kane departed Hotspur Way.

Bayern Munich signed Kane two seasons ago after a long, drawn-out soap opera.

Tottenham fans were gutted to see their all-time scorer leave, and his relationship with some of the Spurs faithful has become strained in recent months. However, Spurs supporters may have a change of heart after a new claim from Hollywood star Holland.

Holland claims Kane still loves Tottenham deeply

Tottenham lifted the UEFA Europa League last season in what was one of the greatest moments in their history.

Spurs supporters rejoiced at the feat and were eager to witness the reactions from all involved with the club. Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker were among those whose reactions were cherished the most.

However, Tottenham fans were left unimpressed with Kane’s acknowledgement, which many believed felt forced. However, Holland is certain that the striker still holds the North London club close to his heart.

The Spiderman star told GQ Sports (11 July): “I’m sure it meant a lot to Harry, too, you know [to see Son Heung-min win the Europa League]. Those guys are still incredibly close friends, and his love for Tottenham runs incredibly deep.

“I was always a huge supporter of him going to Munich. He is truly one of the best players in the world, and we were just so lucky to have him for the time that we did. I’m the type of person that never has any hard feelings for a player moving to a different club or moving to a better club.”

Son deserves the greatest send-off

While Spurs supporters may be undecided about how to feel about Kane, most are unified on how the club should send off Son.

The South Korean is potentially set to leave Hotspur Way this summer after almost a decade in North London. There will not be a dry eye in the house when that day finally comes, but it should be one decided on Son’s terms.

Indeed, when most former players left the club in search of silverware, Son doubled down on his dream to win at Tottenham. The Europa League final victory was more than a collective trophy, but representative of the blood, sweat and tears he has put in over the years.

As a result, the Spurs skipper is one of the only players who should be afforded the luxury of when and how he leaves the club. And when he finally does take the leap, he should be celebrated as the legend he has grown to become.

There is no doubt that Tottenham will have a bright future with all the youth at their disposal. However, it could be a long time before any player has an impact similar to Son throughout the years.
