Tottenham star reacts as Paul Pogba transfer agreement emerges

Tottenham are doing little aside from watching other clubs push ahead with their summer business.

Aside from the permanent addition of Mathys Tel, Tottenham have been sitting with their hands tied behind their backs this summer, and there is only one man to blame.

Daniel Levy’s unwillingness to sign off on big-money deals has already seen Spurs miss out on several targets, and that is unlikely to change unless his stubbornness does.

With that said, other sides from around Europe have been able to make the most of the transfer opportunities, with a new deal recently announced.

Yves Bissouma reacts as AS Monaco seal statement signing

Given the fact that the PSR deadline is imminent, it should only be a matter of time until Tottenham are able to accelerate their own transfer plans, with an immense amount of work to be done to rectify the domestic failures of the recent campaign.

Several players have been linked with a move to Thomas Frank’s side, but it is a signing from France that has caught the attention of Spurs midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Paul Pogba, formerly of Manchester United, has just signed for AS Monaco, and Bissouma wasted no time in taking to social media to react to the move.

Via his Instagram story, he said: “I love you, Polo, come back and show them… Champions of the world.”

His story was in response to a video shared of a rather emotional Pogba, who made his return to football after a two-year ban.

Tottenham need to accelerate summer plans

Spurs are in dire need of summer reinforcements if they are to have any chance of success under Frank, and with less than two months until the season gets underway, time is slowly ticking away.

Frank will want bodies through the door before pre-season gets underway, and the turnover the PSR window could provide them with the opportunity to achieve that.

Levy is doing some good work away from the football at Spurs, but his inability to make progress on that aspect is going to prove costly.
