Tottenham share Micky van de Ven recovery update on Instagram
Micky van de Ven is stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury while Tottenham prepare for the return of Premier League football after the international break.
Van de Ven, 22, went off injured in the first half of Spurs’ 4-1 defeat to Chelsea on 6 November before missing the loss against Wolves on Saturday 11 November.
It was initially feared that the Netherlands centre-back will be sidelined for a lengthy period but Spurs’ Instagram has uploaded footage (14 November) of the summer signing in the gym and and working on his recovery in time for the clash with Aston Villa next weekend (26 November).

Tottenham were also without Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie due to suspension against Wolves, meaning Ange Postecoglou lost three of his four starting defences for the trip to Molineux.
Romero won’t be back until the start of December but Udogie’s ban has been served so he and van de Ven are looking at returning to the side against Villa.
Ex-Spurs right-back Alan Hutton told Tottenham News:
“To lose a game in the 91st and 97th minutes was disappointing,” he said. “I think a lot of that comes down to concentration.
“I know Wolves were on the front foot, they were always going to have spells in the game where they were going to attack, I think this is what it comes down to when you’re missing Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie.

“You can see the back line, they dropped very deep, they were a bit ragged. There was one goal, Eric Dier runs out, comes out of position and none of your back four… you could tell they hadn’t played a lot together.
“Fitness is an issue as well, you’re not match-ready and sharp, this all comes into it.
“But don’t get me wrong, they were two fantastic goals that they scored, especially the first one.
“Ange will be disappointed, of course he will, but he will know that he is missing some top players and that is a key factor within it.”
