Tottenham send emotional farewell message as senior exit confirmed
Tottenham have seen a handful of senior figures leave the club this summer as Daniel Levy enacts a wholesale revamp.
Levy confirmed the appointment of Vinai Venkatesham as Tottenham Chief Executive Officer ahead of the end of last season, before losing his longest-serving ally, Donna-Maria Cullen, in early June.
The 63-year-old then set about changing the coaching staff for both the men’s and women’s teams as he looked to reset the football club.
Despite not being proactive in the market, Levy has demonstrated his commitment to change and has continued his approach with the latest confirmed exit.

Tottenham confirm Rob Burch’s departure
The dismissal of Ange Postecoglou also saw the majority of his coaches follow him out of Hotspur Way.
Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery, and Sergio Raimundo were all released from their roles as Assistant Coaches, while Ryan Mason had already departed to take over the managerial role at West Brom.
This left Matt Wells and Rob Burch with uncertain futures at the club, with the former eventually being announced as part of Frank’s new coaching staff.
However, it was officially confirmed via an emotional message on X (7 July) that Burch has left Spurs as Frank decided to appoint Fabian Otte as First Team Goalkeeper Coach.
The post read, “We can announce that Rob Burch has left the Club. A former player and coach in our Academy, Rob returned to us as First Team Goalkeeping Coach in 2023.
We thank him for his service and wish him well for the future. A member of our Spurs family, he will always be welcome at the Club.”
The 41-year-old came through the academy at Spurs but never made an appearance for the first team as he was sent out on loan six times before leaving the club and signing for Sheffield Wednesday in 2007.
Having retired from his playing career in 2012, he quickly transitioned into coaching and returned to Tottenham to work under Postecoglou.
Levy somewhat shows he will back Frank
There has been an understandable frustration growing among the Spurs fans due to Levy’s lack of investment in the first team so far this summer.
The permanent arrivals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso, along with the £5million outlay on Kōta Takai, have hardly excited the Lilywhites, who are worried that Frank will be the latest manager not to be adequately backed.
However, Levy’s stance on bringing in a whole new backroom staff at great expense at Frank’s request shows that he is somewhat committed to the Dane’s project and vision.
The Spurs supremo must now prove that he can fulfil his promise and fully focus on improving the playing squad.
