Tottenham on verge of Thomas Frank announcement as Brentford demands emerge
Tottenham are closing in on the appointment of Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Frank impressed at Brentford this season, as the Bees finished 10th in the Premier League, despite a limited number of resources at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Dane has cemented Brentford as a competitive mid-table side, and Daniel Levy will be hoping the 51-year-old can bring the same consistency to Spurs after their struggles in the Premier League.
Negotiations have accelerated since Ange Postecoglou was dismissed (6 June), and supporters might not need to wait too much longer for an announcement.

Tottenham must pay Brentford £10million for Frank
It has already been reported that Frank has held talks about the now-vacant managerial position at Tottenham.
The current Brentford boss is said to be keen on a new challenge after almost a decade in West London.
And it seems as though an announcement could now be just hours away.
Premier League 2024/25 | Position | Points |
Brentford | 10th | 56 |
Tottenham | 17th | 38 |
As reported by The Telegraph (9 June), Tottenham are on the verge of appointing Frank as the club’s new head coach.
Brentford will insist that Frank’s exit fee, said to be in the region of £10million, is met by Tottenham. However, progress has been made over the past 24 hours.
The Lilywhites will look to close the deal soon to begin work on player transfers this summer.
Frank could bring Bryan Mbeumo to Tottenham
Bryan Mbuemo has been linked with Tottenham.
However, the uncertainty around Postecoglou slowed down Tottenham’s movement in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the player prefers a move to Manchester United this summer. However, there is a chance Mbuemo will be tempted to follow his current manager to North London if United do not agree on a deal soon.
Furthermore, Frank could not only bring top players from Brentford to Tottenham but also convince potential transfer targets to sign for the club.
Potential transfer targets will want to know who will be in charge before committing to Tottenham.
This lack of clarity has seen Spurs miss out on several targets. However, now that Tottenham are closing in on Frank, there is every chance that several new signings could be made soon.
