Tottenham now heading for ‘Disaster’ before 3 February after transfer update
Tottenham are heading for a “disaster” if they don’t manage to make any more signings before transfer deadline day, according to Michael Dawson.
Spurs have only completed one signing so far in the winter window with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky arriving on 5 January.
The former Lilywhites star has given his verdict after the club were rejected with late moves for Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel and AC Milan defender Fiyako Tomori.
Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (1 February, 13:39 pm), ex-Spurs defender Dawson said: “It’s going to be a challenging time, it has been since the start of January.
“Now, we’re getting into the final few days, they have to get something done.
“If nothing happens, the amount of injuries that they’ve got and the situation they’re in, it will be an absolute disaster.”
Tottenham running out of time to complete deals
With the 3 February deadline rapidly approaching, Daniel Levy is yet to give Ange Postecoglou the backing that he needs this month to turn the season around.
The Lilywhites are currently in 16th place in the Premier League standings just seven points ahead of the relegation zone in what has been a disastrous campaign so far.
Postecoglou was dealt another defensive injury blow on Thursday (30 January) as Radu Dragusin went off injured in the 3-0 win over Elfsborg.

In attack, Dominic Solanke is out for the foreseeable future, Richarlison and Brennan Johnson have had fitness issues and Timo Werner is inconsistent.
Spurs desperately need to bring in both attacking and defensive reinforcements as a result of their injury issues and dismal form in the league.
However, they are running out of time to give the manager the tools to get out of their current predicament and the rejection from two players is embarrassing.
