Tottenham reach agreement with Rosario Central for Alejo Véliz

As reported by Football London on Tuesday (8 July), Alejo Véliz is expected to leave Tottenham on loan and return to his former club Rosario Central.

The report states that the agreement is a straight loan which does not include a purchase option or obligation. However, Spurs will have the option to recall the striker in January.

Véliz has returned to Hotspur Way for pre-season training, but is not a part of Thomas Frank’s plans for the forthcoming season.

This transfer represents another resounding failure on Daniel Levy’s record. The Argentine was shipped off to Sevilla halfway through his debut before spending last season with Espanyol.

However, Véliz failed to impress in Spain and looks set to leave Tottenham on loan once again.
