Tottenham news round-up: Second transfer confirmed as emotional message sent
Tottenham’s summer business is truly underway after a busy day in the transfer market.
Tottenham started the day on Tuesday (8 July) by announcing Kōta Takai’s arrival from Kawasaki Frontale.

Thomas Frank will be delighted that things are moving forward as a second transfer was confirmed later in the day, with Tottenham News bringing you the latest updates from N17.

Juventus weighing up options ahead of Bissouma move
Juventus may make a move for Yves Bissouma. Their general manager, Damien Comolli, is reportedly weighing up the options ahead of a potential deal [La Gazzetta dello Sport, 8 July, page 10].
Daniel Levy is said to have set a price tag of around £15million for the defensive midfielder. Bissouma has one year left on his current contract at Spurs.
The 28-year-old has epitomised Tottenham’s inconsistency in the last three years. He has gone from completely abject performances to becoming a hero in the latter stages of the UEFA Europa League.
However, with Rodrigo Bentancur in the same boat as the Mali international and being publicly lauded by Frank, it is expected that Spurs would be keen to listen to offers for the former Brighton player.

Alejo Véliz returns to Rosario Central on loan
Tottenham have confirmed that Alejo Véliz has returned to Rosario Central on a season-long loan.
The striker has struggled in his time in Europe. Véliz has scored just three league goals across the Premier League and La Liga in the last two campaigns.
It was quickly established that he was not part of Frank’s plans. As a result, he has promptly reunited with his boyhood club, who were keen to bring the Argentine back.
The Lilywhites will be able to recall the 20-year-old in January if they deem fit. In addition, the agreement is not thought to include a purchase option or obligation [Football London].

Spurs thanked their former academy graduate and stated that he would “always be welcome” after the 41-year-old’s long association with the Lilywhites.
The decision came after Frank finalised his coaching staff, with the North Londoners appointing Fabian Otte from Liverpool to replace Burch.
