Kieran Maguire issues staggering £748m revelation

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has revealed that Spurs’ net spend over the last ten years has been a staggering £748million.

This puts them in the top five of all Premier League clubs, with Liverpool’s net spend being nearly £200million less.

Even in the current campaign, Spurs’ net spend is £99million – a number only eclipsed by Manchester United, Ipswich Town and Brighton.

Jamie Carragher savages three Spurs players post Liverpool defeat

Jamie Carragher was far from pleased with the performances of Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr.

The trio started in midfield for Spurs and they were labelled a “disgrace” by the former Liverpool captain who saw Arne Slot’s side make it through to the final.

Postecoglou’s side failed to take the game to the Reds at Anfield and were humiliated, losing 4-0 on the night.

Carragher told Sky Sports (6 February): “When I look at those three Tottenham midfield players, I thought they were a disgrace no matter who the manager is.”
