Tottenham news round-up: No agreement reached amid contract talks, Dier takes dig
Tottenham have seen an improvement in their performances on the pitch and that has eased pressure off Ange Postecoglou.
While the jury is still out on the Australian, he does not appear to be in immediate sack danger and is expected to be in charge for the entirety of the club’s UEFA Europa League campaign.
With there being plenty reported on the club, Tottenham News has provided a news round-up from 24 February.

Spurs chief Daniel Levy’s exit verdict shared by Glenn Hoddle
Glenn Hoddle does not believe that preparations are on for Daniel Levy parting ways with the club.
The Spurs chairman is extremely unpopular among the fanbase and there were protests recently that were directed towards him.
He has urged Levy to build a squad that can compete for trophies after crediting him for the work done in getting the stadium ready.
He told Football London: “I don’t think it’s a scenario to get Daniel Levy out at the moment.
“What I would say is that the problem with building a stadium, which is a magnificent stadium, to get the training ground built which any player in the world would want to be in that environment, now there’s two aspects to it.
“The emphasis for me has got to be, 100 per cent, 110 per cent, the squad. Build a squad that justifies the stadium. For me, it should be the other way around. You build the squad and then many build the stadium.”

Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier takes dig at former club
Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier has taken a dig at Tottenham for not being given the credit he deserved in England.
Dier joined Spurs in 2014 and quickly established himself as a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s side but towards the end of his time in North London, he became extremely inconsistent and error prone and was no longer playing every week.
Having moved to Bayern on loan initially, an option was triggered for him to permanently join the Bundesliga giants.
The 31-year-old has become an important player for Vincent Kompany and is also adored by the fans.
He told ESPN: “Very much so. I didn’t feel like I was always given a fair shake during my time in England.
“I was motivated by that when I came here, and motivated to do well for this club, to try and play as best as I can individually and to help the team play as well as it can collectively. That is my main focus, but I definitely felt that a little bit when I left England.”
