Tottenham news round-up: Levy secures mega payday, £50m Tyler Dibling exit news

Daniel Levy has worked his magic once again while Tottenham discovered a £50million transfer exit update on Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.

Ange Postecoglou’s side made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (16 February).

James Maddison stole the headlines, responding to Roy Keane in style after scoring the match-winner.

However, frustrations remain at an all-time high among the Spurs faithful after mass protests against Levy and ENIC took place on Sunday.

Here, Tottenham News rounds up the latest news in North London as of Monday 17 February.

Tottenham on scouting mission as Leeds take on Sunderland

Jamie O’Hara stunned by James Maddison incident at Tottenham

Maddison was on the receiving end of some criticism from Keane in the buildup to the clash with Manchester United on Sunday. After the midfielder scored, he headed over to the camera, performing his signature darts celebration before putting his finger to his lips, a gesture seemingly aimed at Keane.

While speaking live on talkSPORT (17 February, 9:15 am), O’Hara suggested that Maddison’s reaction was justified.

The former Tottenham midfielder said, “Who are we to argue with [Roy] Keane? Do you know what I mean? He’s a legend of the game.

“It was probably a bit harsh on Maddison when I saw it, I was a bit like oh that’s spicy, it’s a bit spicy. He’s gone after him a little bit which I think was probably unfair.

“But, look I think he did alright yesterday. He got the goal, he was switched on. I think it was harsh from [Roy] Keane but at least he knows that the boys are listening and he asked what everyone expects him to do and that’s all you can do as a footballer.

“You know, if someone digs you out you go and do your talking on the football pitch because that’s the opportunity they’ve got.”
