Tottenham news round-up: Gibbs-White update as player pens goodbye message

Tottenham are busy in the transfer market, and are looking to recruit more players in the coming weeks.

Mohammed Kudus has joined from West Ham, and the Lilywhites are targeting another big-money deal within the Premier League.

Tottenham could end the window with a heavy transfer outlay, but it remains to be seen if they will be successful in their pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White.

Tottenham News has now rounded up the latest news coming out of N17 after a few new developments.

Spurs could pursue Adam Wharton next year

Tottenham are interested in Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton, but a deal this summer looks unlikely.

It has now been reported that Wharton is happy to stay at Palace for another year, almost ruling out a move this summer, but this could open up a future move to Spurs.

However, this could mean that Liverpool end up pursuing the England international next year, meaning Spurs would miss out on the 21-year-old.

Gibbs-White absence explained

With Spurs continuing to pursue Gibbs-White, the 25-year-old was a notable absentee as Nottingham Forest arrived in Faro for a pre-season tour.

Forest have fixtures coming up in Portugal, and Gibbs-White’s absence fuelled speculation that he could be heading to North London imminently.

However, it has been reported that Gibbs-White’s absence is due to personal reasons, and is not connected in any way to his future at Forest or the interest from Tottenham.

It is expected that he will join the rest of the squad in the Algarve later this week, and there appears to be no resolution in sight over his potential move to Spurs.

Oliver Boast pens Leeds goodbye ahead of Spurs move

Spurs have moved to strengthen their academy sides and have signed Oliver Boast from Leeds United.

Boast spent eight years in the Leeds academy and scored 10 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions last season.

The 16-year-old has now penned a goodbye message to Leeds ahead of his move, and is considered a bright prospect for the future.
