Tottenham news round-up: Dejan Kulusevski transfer claim as Lucas Bergvall reveal stuns
Tottenham have undergone an eventful week after returning to Champions League action on Tuesday night.
Despite an underwhelming performance, Spurs defeated Villarreal 1-0 thanks to a goalkeeping howler.
Indeed, it has been a positive start to life in North London for Thomas Frank, while Ange Postecoglou has stuttered with Nottingham Forest.
With Frank’s men set to face Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday, Tottenham News rounds up the latest from Hotspur Way.

Dejan Kulusevski would make the Manchester City team
Kulusevski may have been absent from Tottenham through injury, but that has not stopped the Swede from receiving immense praise.
Last season, the 25-year-old was a standout performer in what was a woeful Premier League campaign.
While Spurs are faring well without him, he will only bolster Frank’s team when he returns from injury.
- Kulusevski has made 146 appearances for the North London club
- Last season, he made 21 goal contributions in all competitions
- He has made 55 goal contributions in his Spurs career
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham lauded Kulusevski’s ability.
“I think you’ll always find a place for a player of these really unique characteristics in terms of the ability to get goals, his creativity, his strength, his leadership,” Wenham said.
“I think he ticks so many boxes. He’s such a good player to the point where, you know, he wouldn’t look out of place at Man City or any other massive club. I think he’s that good.“

Joao Palhinha cannot believe what he’s learned about Lucas Bergvall
Palhinha has been speaking about his midfield partner Bergvall, but revealed his surprise at something he did not know.
Bergvall, like Palhinha, has enjoyed an emphatic start to the season and landed his first Premier League goal against West Ham.
Indeed, the teenager has been so impressive that his teammate did not realise that he is just 19 years of age, leaving him visibly stunned.
“He’s one of the talents that we have; he’s improving a lot, growing up a lot. I saw two days ago or three days ago [that he’s 19] because I thought he was a bit older.”
Dominic Solanke returns to Tottenham training
There has been an update on Solanke’s fitness at Spurs ahead of their clash with Brighton on the South Coast.
The striker has been absent since playing against Man City in late August, but is unlikely to feature on Saturday.
Solanke is back in training, which will be a boost for Frank, but the fact that he is doing individual training suggests that he will not feature against the Seagulls.
While he may not be fit to feature yet, the news of the 28-year-old’s return will be a welcome boost for the Lilywhites.
