Tottenham round-up: Postecoglou to be ‘sacked on Friday’, Kulusevski contract news
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou remains under pressure as Spurs prepare for their crunch Europa League clash with Frankfurt on Thursday.
The success of the North Londoners’ entire season rests on how they fare in their quarter-final second leg with Frankfurt.
Last time out against Dino Toppmoller’s men, Postecoglou’s side played out a 1-1 draw at home, and now face the daunting task of trying to beat the Bundesliga highfliers on away soil.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ woeful Premier League season took another turn for the worse when they lost 4-2 to Wolves on Sunday in a poor defensive display.
Tottenham News provides a round-up of all the latest Spurs news on Wednesday, 16 April:

Tottenham pushing hard to beat West Ham in transfer pursuit
While Postecoglou’s future remains uncertain, Spurs have already set their sights on the summer transfer window.
The North London club are reportedly pushing hard to beat West Ham to the signing of Angel Gomes, who is a top target for Graham Potter’s men.
Gomes is available on a free transfer this summer, when his contract with French Ligue 1 outfit Lille expires.

Stumbling block emerges as Spurs seek Jack Grealish signing
Tottenham are also striving to sign Jack Grealish this summer, amid his lack of game time with Manchester City.
However, the England international’s wages could reportedly prove too much for the North Londoners, while the former Aston Villa man remains happy in the North West.

Tottenham could negotiate a new contract with Dejan Kulusevski
Dejan Kulusevski was one of Postecoglou’s best players this term before suffering from a long-term injury.
Amid transfer interest from Serie A giants Napoli, Lilywhite Rose blog owner exclusively told Tottenham News: “He’s still got a decent contract.
“His current deal expires in 2028. Therefore, there isn’t a lot of pressure right now. However, Tottenham will need him to renew at some point over the next 12 months.
“They won’t want him entering the final two years of his contract, as that would put the pressure on. As a result, I’d imagine talks will take place next season, and hopefully, we make some dramatic improvements and Kulusevski sees a future at Tottenham and renews.”

Postecoglou to be sacked before the weekend
Clinton Morrison told the latest episode of BBC Radio 5 Live’s Premier League review: “Nowhere near Tottenham are good enough and Frankfurt are the favourites. It’s 1-1, you go into Frankfurt, I’ll make a statement here.
“If they don’t win on Thursday, I don’t think Ange will be in a job on Saturday. That’s how much the place is toxic at the moment. You can’t buy a win at the moment.
“What excuses is he going to make? ‘Oh, I’ve still got 10 or 11 of my best players injured?’ No, all your players are back, and you’re still not getting results. It’s nowhere near good enough.”
